This Cogent RP C8™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value, and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped (

), with traditional bonding of an 8
(Octyl)
carbon silane to the highest purity silica available.
The 5 µm Particle works well with prep flow rates and produces lower back pressures than smaller particles. The extra large diameter and long length of this column provides very high loading capacity which is great for purification of hydrophobic or neutral compounds making this it ideal for Preparative HPLC.
A specialized HPLC System is required for columns this size.
