High Efficiency
The 4µm, 80Å silica support of J’Sphere columns provides high chromatographic efficiency, while the high surface area material (500 m2/g) offers exceptional interaction with analytes. This combination provides excellent peak symmetry.
Choose Your Retention
The J’Sphere series of columns combines three different carbon loads (9%, 14%, and 22%) with a range of hydrogen-bonding capacities to provide three columns that differ in retention and, oftentimes, selectivity as well. Users can exploit these differences during method development and choose the best column to suit their separation.
ODS-H80, with 22% carbon, is the most hydrophobic and hydrolytically stable. It resists attack by both high-and low-pH solvents and has proven stable at pH 1.1 to 9.3 for over 500 hours.
ODS-M80, with 14% carbon, is an inert, efficient phase with moderate hydrophobicity and hydrogen bonding capacity.
ODS-L80, with 9% carbon, offers retention similar to C8, but with unique selectivity imparted by its high hydrogen-bonding capacity.
These three columns afford the chromatographer a range of retention on a pure, high-efficiency, reproducible support.
- Average over 100,000 plates/meter
- Inert, reproducible support
- Choice of three levels of hydrophobicity
- Excellent peak symmetry with basic molecules
