Designed for Analysis of Basic Compounds
YMCbasic is a unique reversed-phase column designed for analysis of pharmaceuticals and basic compounds. This stationary phase utilizes a novel silica synthesis and state-of-the-art silane bonding to create a column which gives true reversed-phase character, high resolution, and excellent peak shape that is typically difficult to obtain when analyzing basic analytes.
Neutral Silica Plus Maximum Bonding Coverage
The silica support used in YMCbasic is prepared by an advanced synthetic process which yields a chromatographic material with proprietary pore size and neutral silanols which minimizes interactions with both basic and acidic compounds. The stationary phase is a monomeric bonding of several different alkyl silanes with chain lengths of C8 and smaller.
Provides True Reversed-Phase Selectivity
The neutral silica support used in YMCbasic exhibits minimal secondary retention interactions, so selectivity is true reversed-phase. There are no special surface treatments or exotic endcapping procedures. This means that YMCbasic provides the same general selectivity seen with conventional C18 and C8 columns without basic compounds tailing.
- Designed for the analysis of basic compounds
- Utilizes a neutral silica support
- Secondary interactions minimized as much as possible
- Useful for separation of peptides
