This Cogent RP C8™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped ( fully ), with traditional bonding of an 8 (Octyl) carbon silane to the highest purity silica available.
The 5µm Particle works well with high flow rates and produces lower back pressures than smaller particles. The diameter of this column provides increased loading capacity compared with analytical columns, which is why it is chosen for purification of hydrophobic or neutral compounds, making it ideal for Semi Preparative HPLC.
A specialized HPLC System is required for columns this size.
