This Cogent RP C4™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped ( fully ), with traditional bonding of a 4 carbon ( butyl ) ligand to the highest purity silica available.
With a 10 µm Particle, this column works well with higher flow rates and lower back pressures. Used for very hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Butyl Phase is excellent for preparative HPLC for small molecule purification. Expect Less retention than with a C18 column but more than with a C8.
A specialized HPLC System is required for columns this size.
