Ultisil Ion Exchange columns and media are silica based strong anion exchange (SAX – ammonium-functionalized silane) and strong cation exchange (SCX – covalently bonded aromatic sulfonic acid moiety) columns – with high resolution and high efficiency.
- Organic modifiers such as acetonitrile and methanol may be used with SAX and SCX columns, within organic/buffer solubility constraintsVery lipophilic
- Retention can be controlled by varying pH, ionic strength and organic modifier content.
Ultisil XB-SCX Column are silica based column with high resolution and high efficiency. Ultisil XB-SCX column is a classical strong cation exchange column, consisting of a covalently bonded aromatic sulfonic acid moiety. It is usually used for the separation of alkaline, water-soluble compounds. Special applications include organic bases such as basic amino acids, anilines, medicinal salts, inorganic cations, and nucleotides.
