The Legacy L16 column is a silica-based, single-mode reverse-phase C12 column that meets the USP qualifications for the L16 designation. The USP definition for an L16 stationary phase requires dimethylsilane (C2) chemically bonded to totally porous silica particles (5 to 10 µm). Compounds are retained based on their hydrophobic interactions with the ligands.
